I've had this watch for two months now, and it's been great. Keeps time accurately, looks good, stays out of the way. I was looking for an old-fashioned watch that just told the time and this one fits the bill perfectly. There are a couple of things I'd note: I find the date hard to read - it's tiny and has a little magnifying bubble in the face but I usually have to squint to read it; and while the pictures make it look like the face is a solid champagne color, it's actually a series of fine champagne colored lines on a white background. Great watch for the price!

What a great watch!! I'm a typical clumsy fire-fighter and wear this watch every single day. The band needs to be replaced due to sweat and mistreatment, but the watch itself keeps some of the most accurate time available, I think I have YET to have set it because it was off a few seconds, and I'm really picky about my watch being within seconds of being perfect. The crystal has been slammed into everything from concrete blocks to broken bricks and if I look hard and close in the right light I can make out two very tiny almost invisable scratches.
If you're looking for a watch for work and like the looks of this one,..I highly recommend it!

We have had this maze/puzzle for 2 years now. When we first got it my oldest son was 3 and he was not able to move the marbles on his own, but enjoyed watching us do it. Now at 5, he delights in getting the marbles into their respective compartments on his own. Our youngest, now just 10 months loves to shake it and watch the balls roll around inside (and of course suck on the wand). I was a little surprised that the magnetic wand is removable and was sure we would lose it, but it stays together well and to date it has not gone missing. Having had this around the playroom for years I would not hesitate to purchase it as a gift in the future. It is so nice to have a low tech, wood construction toy to give in the day and age of electronics and plastic.

I purchassed this lapdesk at a as seen on TV store about a year ago. It works great for eating in bed or on the couch but thats about it.

My laptop does not stay cool on it. Actually the laptop heats up faster on the desk than when I place it on my bed.

Also the wiring for the light has gone bad. Then one wire came out of the bettery pack. Now the light does not work either so i cant really use it to read in bed.

I recomend buying something else.

My daughter likes to use her Netbook in bed at night, but has had problems with it overheating because the pillow she had been resting it on was covering the vents.

I looked at a couple of different "lap desks", and saw this one on sale. It's not fancy, but it serves its purpose well. The hard top keeps the vents from being blocked, and the "cup holder" makes a nice storage place for her pens/pencils that she uses while drawing. (Personal note...I wouldn't ever recommend keeping an open cup of liquid near any electronics in a "lap desk".)

The light is a nice touch, although she's never had to use it.

The lap station has worked well and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is the quality of the light. Do not order for the light. The base was loose within the first use and the lamp eventually was separated from housing and this is with minimal use. I appreciate the lap station, cup holder, and pencil/pen holder but the light is useless over time.

This modem connects well, I have no complaints with connections, it's the call waiting feature. That feature fails in XP for me and the tech support is ridiculous. To make this feature sort of work, it needs a string, but US Robotics tech support doesn't seem to know that. I had that feature working for over a year and then with I upgraded their Call Notification, it failed completely and I can't make that feature work at all anymore. I gave this modem 1 star because the only reason I purchased it was for the on hold feature.

I've had a love/hate relationship with USR modems. When they were first breaking out the 19,200 modems in the very early 90's, they couldn't be beat. And they continued to improve up until the X2/K56Flex and software vs. hardware modem battles. Then, their performance went way down, mainly due to the X2 problems.

Now comes the Performance Pro v.92 modem. I did a lot of research and it seemed that this had what I needed: v.92 and hardware based. So, I popped it in and powered up the PC. Windows XP plug-in-play found it to be a "generic" V.90 USR modem, so I had to load the "new" drivers. The drivers were not very new and it appears, to this day, it is the ONLY driver for the modem. Once the correct driver is loaded, the modem worked.

With my ISP not being v.92 yet, the Internet Hold feature didn't work. I tested it with my backup, v.92 ISP and it worked flawlessly. Also, on the v.90 only ISP, my connection was much slower than the V.92 ISP. In addition, my old software modem seemed to have faster connections as well. Also of note, if you start to dial up and you press CANCEL on the Windows DUN dial up window, it will not immediately stop the process. It sometimes takes 1-2 minutes to actually let you continue. This is not a good sign.

I wanted the peace of mind that I had a very good modem because it was hardware based and had good reviews. However, I am just overall disappointed because of the lack of driver support, connection speeds and support from USR. V.92 ISP users may want to take a look but V.90 users stay away!

When my old Aceex ISA hardware-controlled modem started malfunctioning a few years ago, I bought the USR 5610B to replace it. It is still working great.
I'm not sure why my experience is so much better than some other reviewers. It could be that I never used the CD. Windows XP booted up, assigned it to COM 3, and it just works. Maybe there are fancy features that the Windows-bundled driver won't provide, but since my dialup number is just v.90 anyway, I've left well enough alone. Connections of 49.2kbps or 48kpbs are common, which is good for my telephone line.
I also had SuSE 8.2 in my old computer. The USR PCI modem was more tricky to configure than the old ISA modem. I had to run YAST twice to get it to create a ttyS4 (equivalent to Windows COM3), but then after another try it recognized the modem. Once configured, it has been reliable.

When I bought a new computer I figured I should have a new modem. I tried the Creative Modem Blaster serial external. After a few days I salvaged the USR 5610B from my old computer and put it in the new one. Once again, it's great on v.90 with the Windows XP Home SP2 drivers. I haven't had time to put in a new linux distro yet.

Edit: Now I have done some linux experiments.

SUSE 10.1: The installation could not autodetect the modem. I could get a good connection logged in as root, with modem manually set to ttyS1. As a user it took some command line tinkering to get permission to use the modem, but then it worked. I regard that as a deficiency in SUSE 10.1 to make user jump through such hoops to access a modem.

MEPIS 6 Beta3: Works fine with KPPP set to ttyS4. This distro has some other problems, but compatibility with this modem is not one of them.

Ubuntu Dapper Drake: Did not work with this modem. All settings were tried, and ttyS4 was not an available setting. Some linux enthusiasts would say that the hardware failed the distro. My opinion is that the distro failed hardware that has proven itself in other distros.

I won't remove a star because of the failure of some distros to work with this modem, but if you are in love with those distros, this is not the modem for you.

Important to know: Some new distros set modem speed by default to 921,600 bps. That setting will actually slow a 56K modem to 9600 bps. To get good results you should manually select 115,200 or 57,600 bps.

When this mouse was shipped to me it was slightly different than the description. It was an HP branded Mogo mouse withOUT an on/off switch. I was excited to find a small mouse that could be stowed in the laptop, but the sacrifice in useability isn't worth the compactness. The unit is very compact and I love the integrated laser pointer, but I found that it tracks so poorly on surfaces that are no problem for other optical mice (light colored couch upholstery, denim jeans, grey table-top) that it was more of a pain than it was worth. It would track just fine for 30 seconds, then all of the sudden the cursor would quit moving.

Also pointer precision is very poor as it's a bit jumpy when making very small moves. Difficult to use in excel where I grab the border of cells often. This also comes into play when you try to click (just a tad bit hard to click) as the mouse often moves a bit during the finger-press and your cursor flies off your target.

Also the bluetooth wake-up time seemed quite long most of the time (more than 5 - 7 seconds)

Great form-factor, poor implementation. Mine is going back.

Love the portability. It is easier to grasp than I thought. The left and right mouse buttons work fine too. Presentation mode works well. The scroll sensor in the middle is garbage though. Just don't try and use it and you'll be a happy camper!

This mouse ia one of the most practicle mouse I have ever used. I am a masters student who has to work on presentations every week. And this mouse does a good job. Infact it is so easy to carry since it just rests in the express card slot. I highly recommend this mouse to anyone you has an express card slot in their laptops.
The only bad thing about the mouse would be that it is too sensitive. Which I overcame with by decreasing the sensitivity in the mouse settings.
