Went with this Corsair because of all the great reviews and Corsair being one of the best for PSU's. It worked great for a week or two then just out of nowhere died. Waiting on Amazon to ship me new one hopefully will have better luck with it. Not happy with the downtime while waiting on another to get here.

Edit- Amazon is out of these and they are telling me it'll be the end of November early December before I get another so I cancelled the return and just sent back the bad PSU. Going to buy something different. Such a huge hassle didn't expect this out of Corsair

Just got this 1050 watt PSU from Corsair to replace a burned out Thermaltake 1200 watt PSU.
Great investment even though it's not the top of the line, it is still a rock solid reliable, cool and quiet PSU for overclocking, gaming, or general PC use.
Cool is the main adjective that comes to mind. Air expelled from the rear of the unit feels about like room temperature. Also very quiet,my case fans are all I hear.

I am in the process of building my new gaming system and after a lot of looking at reviews online I decided to get this PSU. I ordered it Dec 2 and received it Dec 5 (talk about fast free shipping).

The packaging was excellent as the PSU itself is in a large black soft drawstring bag which was in between 2 black/soft styrofoam and the extra cables are in a velcro bag (reminds me of a electric shaver bag). Also it comes with a small plastic zip bag that hold zip ties and 4 screws plus to round it out was the manual.

I am planning on SLI'ing it in the near future but for now I will be buying 1 video card (leaning toward GTX 560 Ti) and I always like to plan in advance.

Now what got me a little worried is that I am putting this into a mAtx case (Mobo is ASUS Maximus IV Gene-z) and the case (In Win Dragon slayer) was the 1st thing I bought. But I remembered that quite a few mAtx cases can fit atx PSU and this fits in very well in the mAtx case.

Once I get everything and fire up the new beast I will put down here how it runs.
