The product does what it is supposed to, but was missing parts and the finial was rather flimsy. Fortunately the missing parts were bolts and nuts and I had some on hand that worked, but expect a product to have all the pieces.

I am happy with the obelisk. It took a little while to put together but nothing to complicated. It was the size it claimed to be but I imagined it slightly bigger. It arrived in a timely fashion and in good condition with all it's parts. I can not speak to it's durability because I just put it out in the yard.

Yipes, I'm running out of garden space. Solution, go up! This is a great concept for the garden and provides versatility to the solutions tool kit. I've bought a total of 4 similar towers. Two of the others do not have any hanging baskets, and since this one is only 5 feet I have scavenged two of the baskets from it so all three have one basket each, but at different heights. I will be planting climbing passion flowers in these and will be placing them in strategic sites in the garden for maximum visual effect. This one is going in a quarter-wine barrel so the vine will float above the other plants in the barrel. The fourth one is 7 feet with 3 baskets; in this one I plan to mix both climbing and cascading plants. While I put these together by myself, I think this is preferably a two person project; that way you can have one person holding pieces while and the other screwing them together. Also, care must be taken when you come to the final couple screws, as the sum effect of any imperfections and natural torque requires extra effort to finish it off. Then you need to makes sure ALL of the screws are securely tightened. Once that is done you will have a sturdy structure. However, these tower planters are designed to be set in the ground; they are not designed to stand on their own. Al-in-all a fascinating product which takes the garden to a new level.
